Fun & Engaging Activities
Every Our House location offers residents a robust monthly activities calendar, based on their interests, and are designed to be enriching and fun.
This includes arts and crafts, outside excursions, in-house live music, book discussions, exercise classes, cards, puzzles and guest speakers help to enrich and stimulate the mind. Also, we schedule these throughout the day, so your loved one will never feel bored.
Our homes also organize special events throughout the year. These may include picnics and cookouts, Mother and Father’s Day luncheons, holiday parties, Sunday dinners and even a Senior Prom. We celebrate all the major holidays. Family and friends are always welcome to attend.
Furthermore, our residents can also continue their spiritual journey in the community and at our homes. We also offer opportunities for residents to join together for services, Bible studies, and other religious programs.
Living Healthy! Living Happy!
Wellness is the quality or state of being healthy in body, mind, and spirit, especially as the result of deliberate effort. At Our House Senior Living, we believe in promoting a healthy environment by enriching the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual needs of our residents.
Every home has a monthly calendar that includes a wide range of fun and engaging activities, and we use Life Enrichment Coordinators to plan everything in advance. This includes a variety of movement exercises for every age and ability, a wide range of activities that enhance cognitive thinking, a robust arts and crafts program, in-home guest musicians, and the opportunity to continue their spiritual journey.
We’re committed to wellness, and an active lifestyle. They’re key to healthy aging.
A Quality, Family-style Dining Experience
A great meal is one of life’s simple pleasures! At Our House Senior Living, we believe dining well is part of living well. As we age, eating well can improve mental acuteness, energy levels, and resistance to illness. For many, a healthy diet can also be the key to a positive outlook and being emotionally balanced. Your loved one will enjoy a family-style dining experience with three well-balanced home-cooked meals plus snacks every day.
Often times, people who live alone don’t eat properly or miss meals, leading to a nutritional imbalance. They may lose out on the social interaction that’s so important to healthy aging. And if your loved one has any special dietary needs, let us know. We’ll adjust their meal plan to make sure they’re healthy and happy.
Our dining experience is also designed for healthy digestion and quality sleeping, with a healthy breakfast, a larger lunch and a tasty but slightly smaller supper.
Medication Management and Oversight
Working with your primary care doctor and our own Regional Director of Care (an R.N.), Our House Senior Living offers medication management and medication oversight.
For many of our residents, medication is monitored and administered by our skilled staff, and meticulously tracked and recorded. But there are many instances where our residents actually prefer and are fully capable of administering their own medications.
Every month, Our House Senior Living also provides a Director of Care Assessment for each of our residents.

On-site Beauty Services
We know that if you look good, you feel good. Looking well-groomed can improve self-esteem and lead to a positive self-image. That’s why all of our homes have a room dedicated to hair and beauty services.
We bring in top local independent stylists to keep our residents in tip top shape. Our residents can choose what services they’d like to receive, and how often.
Although there is a small charge for these beauty services, our independent stylists recognize that our seniors are on a budget and usually charge below-market rates.
And the best thing is, they come to you!
Of course, our residents are also free to travel outside the house to any stylist, barber or beauty salon they’d like.
Well-behaved Pets are Welcome
If your loved one has a furry friend, we have great news. They’re welcome at Our House Senior Living.
Of course, there’s some simple common sense that comes into play.
Residents must be able to take care of their pets on their own. They need to pick up after them, and they have to be friendly, non-aggressive pets that are well-trained and do not disturb other residents. Pets would need to be kept in resident rooms, except of course, when walking and taking the pet inside and outside.
In addition, pets need to be licensed, have current vaccination records, and have a collar with contact information should they become lost.
If you’re interested in bringing a pet, let us know. We have a short addendum to our agreement. Plus, we’d love to meet your pet.
